Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In a game they had to win, in a game when the Tennessee Vols played one of their best games of the year, Alabama came through with a clutch touchdown and a huge defensive stand.
Alabama got out of Dodge and goes into the by-week 7-1. Tennessee can only think of what might have been. In the coulda, shoulda, woulda world of college football Alabama made plays when they had to against a fired up Tennessee team. I know I said but it needs to be said. Many people are going to run the Tide down for this victory. However, in the end when push came to shove the Tide did what it needed to do and won the game and live to fight another day.
The character of this team came through today as Alabama played a subpar game and found a way to win. This is very reminiscent of the 2009 team, with a tough win against a tough Vol team. Let’s hope that the season ends the same way in January.
