Headed to Atlanta
Lord what a game. Just when you thought well at least we still have Atlanta – the Tide rises from the dead and scores five touchdowns. Blake Sims, bless his heart, pulled victory from the jaws of defeat.
All of that said and the statistics will look awful but some love needs to be given to the Alabama defense. When they absolutely had to they stopped Auburn. It became necessary after Sims threw his third interception. Auburn scored and went up 33-21. The Tide defense stopped Auburn and Sims hit Cooper for 39 yards and the Tide was back in business.
Auburn got another field goal and a late touchdown after Alabama scored four straight touchdowns. It wasn’t a pretty game but in the end Alabama defeated Auburn and will advance to the SEC championship with a chance to move on to the college football playoff.
Wow – this team is so frustrating and so wonderful. If you stay with them long enough and you are a Tide fan they tend to bring you great joy. Tonight was one of those nights. Thanks guys – thanks especially to the seniors.
