On the Road
It started great, kind of went south and then almost finished really great. In the end Alabama beat Tennessee for the eight straight time. The best news is they did not implode on the road.
The Tide gets a bye at just the right time. They are beat up and tired. Next game LSU. That will be a biggie. This was a good win. Honestly, it was good to see some life in UT. After what Kentucky did today you almost had to expect this.
When they needed it Alabama put together a long drive and scored. If not for a fumble they would have done at the end. It was a game that Alabama had to win and they did. They looked pretty good on the road. The change of quarterback for Tennessee made all of the difference. That kid is going to be good.
The good news, the best news is Alabama survived. Don’t get hung up on statistics. This won’t look good in the box score. However, it looks just fine in the only stat that matters. 34-20.
