On the Road Again
The Tide hits the road for Fayetteville and a date with a much improved Hog squad. This is a game that will determine how far Alabama will go this year. The Tide of old will bounce back and take out its frustration on Arkansas. The question is – is this the Tide of old?
What is this Alabama team made of ? Can they stare adversity in the face and come back and play like a contender? If they can, they will continue to challenge for an SEC title and a playoff berth. If not they’ll make a nice bowl somewhere.
As animated as Nick Saban has been this week I doubt that hanging out with him on the practice field has been a whole lot of fun. I suspect he hasn’t suffered mistakes gracefully. I doubt if he has suffered excuses at all and I doubt he’s a happy camper. I don’t think he is going to be happy until he sees a mistake free game.
This is a beat up humiliated team. With all due respect to Ole Miss and what they did, this Alabama team must feel that they have been gut punched. When push came to shove they were shoved. Hopefully, they will respond by shoving the next team back – hard.
The next team is Arkansas. That team has had two weeks to rest and prepare for Alabama. They are built to grind out games on the ground. Alabama has the stuff to deal with that and I think they will. My guess Alabama 28 Arkansas 24
