Florida Atlantic University Owls

Home opener in Bryant-Denny and people are calling Alabama vulnerable and Oregon is gaining ground in the poles. There’s only one cure for that in early September. Play the game that an Alabama team is supposed to play.

It would be fairly senseless to do any comparison between the two teams. Well, maybe not senseless and if you want to see one see Andrew Gribble's of Al.com below. Last week Alabama beat West Virginia 33-23. FAU lost to Nebraska 55-7. Even though their quarterback says they would win a rematch. I don’t think they will win in Tuscaloosa tomorrow.

After a sub-par defensive performance against the Mountaineers, the Tide comes into this game with a chip on its collective shoulder. That’s good for them and bad for FAU. Trey DePriest will be back in the lineup, which will settle down the defense and I expect to see a slight shuffling of the Alabama secondary.

If Alabama doesn’t score at least 45 points and hold FAU under 14, there will be some kind of shift in the cosmos. If this one’s close the Tide will tumble out of the top ten. My guess Alabama 48 FAU 3.
